Research is how the next generation of Nigerian scholars changes the world — and it deserves to be recognised from the very beginning.
We are proud to announce that submissions are now open for the 2026 edition of the Gabriel Ezenri Award for Excellence in Research, presented in collaboration with ISPOR (HEOR) UNN.
This award was founded to inspire early-career researchers to pursue rigorous, original work — and to make sure that excellent research at the undergraduate level does not go unseen.
Who can enter: Undergraduate and early-career researchers at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, particularly members and affiliates of ISPOR (HEOR) UNN.
The award: A cash prize of ₦100,000, a certificate of excellence, mentorship from the foundation, and support toward presenting the winning work at a wider conference.
Key dates: Submissions open 1 August 2026 · Deadline 30 September 2026, 11:59 pm WAT · Winners announced October 2026.
