GEF Scholarships
For students with the grades and the grit — but not the means
The GEF Scholarship supports outstanding undergraduate and postgraduate students at accredited Nigerian institutions who demonstrate strong academic performance and genuine financial need.
What it covers
Tuition and registration fees, learning materials, and a modest living stipend, up to ₦500,000 per academic session. Awards are renewable each year, subject to satisfactory academic progress (a minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 5.0 scale).
Who can apply
Undergraduates
Enrolled (or admitted) in an accredited Nigerian university or polytechnic, with a minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 5.0 scale (or, for new entrants, a UTME score of 250+ or five O'level credits including English and Mathematics), and demonstrable financial need.
Postgraduates
Admitted to or enrolled in an MSc or PhD programme at an accredited institution, with a strong academic record and a clear statement of purpose.
