GEF Research Grants
Because good research shouldn't die in the budget line
The GEF Research Grant provides seed funding to MSc and PhD students and early-career researchers (within 5 years of their terminal degree) at Nigerian institutions. We fund the practical costs that determine whether research happens at all.

Grants cannot be used for personal tuition or salaries.
What we look for
A clear, feasible research question; a realistic budget; potential for real-world or scholarly impact; and evidence the applicant can complete the work within the timeline.
Reporting
Grantees submit a brief mid-point update and a final report, and acknowledge the foundation in resulting publications.
